Hundreds of children are being sexually exploited throughout Manitoba right now. The risks are huge and the impact is devastating. Many victims struggle a lifetime to recover—some don't survive.
The Stop Sex with Kids campaign is part of the Manitoba Strategy
to address child sexual exploitation.

On November 13, 2008, the Manitoba community came together to launch a public awareness campaign and send a message that child sexual abuse is never okay. Almost 500 volunteers from the community, government offices and law enforcement went into the streets of Manitoba to shed light on a problem that often goes unseen. This scrapbook is a memoir to all the hard working, passionate and dedicated volunteers, community service providers and government officials that came out on November 13th, 2008 to send a clear message that the sexual abuse of our children will not be tolerated. I agree with a previous comment that stated that the title of the campaign could be revamped, as this is clearly a form of "Sexual Abuse". As disturbing as "Sex with Kids" sounds by saying "Stop Sex with Kids" makes it sound like a lifestyle choice, like "Stop Smoking". Perhaps "Sex with Kids is Child/Sexual Abuse" may be more fitting. However, regardless of the title, I am so thankful for the efforts and work that has gone into this valuable cause.

Serina, you've taken the first step by coming to this site and posting. Good for you. You need to take care of yourself and you don't need that kind of attention. Be good to yourself and the rest will follow. Your opinion is what matters the most. The positive attention you give yourself will lead you in a good direction. Never, ever, compare yourself to anyone else.
